The chairs are comprised of a svelte simple shape of gorgeous walnut with a diamond rosewood detail inlay and, although these chairs are deemed mid-century modern and made during that time frame, I have always felt the subtle curve and draped effect of the back support has a rather Art Deco flair. The Declaration line was one of the most renowned and popular lines for Drexel during the mid-20th century and its classic shapes and quality construction has made it highly desirable again today.
